String QuartetsWedding Entertainment Idea No. 1
The Ceremony.A String quartet creates the perfect ambience for a church or civil wedding ceremony. From the moment your guests arrive their music sets an elegant and relaxing mood. This continues for the entrance of the bride, signing of the register and exit of the bridal party.
The Reception.Our String quartets are perfect for your wedding drinks reception. Weather permitting they can perform inside or outside in the gardens of your chosen wedding venue. (We have links to some fantastic and elegant wedding venues on our testimonial page)
Wedding Breakfast.The String quartet can provide background music for your meal. Lighter and jazz sets can provide relaxed music to suit all tastes and ages they can even play songs of your personal choice to make it a little different.
Spring Quartet
The Spring Quartet is the family string quartet; father David, mum Pam and daughters Penny & Emily bring all their experience and warmth to help make your wedding day even more memorable. With a breadth of music from Bach to Beatles, Gounod to Gershwin, Handel to Hendrix and quality to match, they have charmed wedding guests throughout the North West.
The selection of music varies to match the surroundings; maybe Bach, Handel & Corelli before the wedding ceremony, your choice of pieces for the weddding ceremony and a mix of light classical and pop classics for drinks / photo session and even through the Wedding Breakfast. Weather permitting, the players are always happy to play outdoors during the photo session. They also book the sessions, not a fixed time block, so if you’re running late they’ll still be there till the end of the session.

Oona Linnett-HarpistWedding Entertainment Idea No. 2
After graduating with a Bachelor of Music Degree from Edinburgh University, in 2001 Oona achieved a Performers’ Diploma on the harp with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. After this she studied for a Masters Degree at Bangor University, specialising jointly in the study of Music of the Celtic Countries and in Performance on the Harp, under the tuition of the renowned harpist Elinor Bennett
Oona is now a harpist with many years’ experience, having played in numerous reputable hotels and venues throughout North West England and North Wales, at weddings and other private functions. She offers a wide repertoire of music in different styles ranging from classical, to Celtic, to modern, on both the full-sized concert harp and smaller Celtic harp, tailored to create the perfect ambience for the particular special occasion.
Weddings:
- For both religious and civil weddings, music can be played at the following points of the ceremony: the processional, the signing of the register, the recessional, and also to accompany the arrival and departure of guests.
- Furthermore, a perfect atmosphere can be created during the champagne reception and/or the wedding breakfast with up to two hours of beautiful background music.

Janette MonroeWedding Entertainment Idea No. 3
Classical Wedding Soprano.
From the age of fourteen Janette has been classically trained and continues to do so to this day. Achieving a First with Distinction with the British Federation of Music and Grade eight Advanced with Honours with the London College of Music
Janettes work as a classical performer has taken her around the world on numerous occasions, and has given her the opportunity of performing at some of the most prestigious venues i.e. the NEC Birmingham,the Kenwood Centre and Grosvenor House London, The Hermitage Monte Carlo,The Byblos Marbella, The QE2, QM2, Seaborne's Legend,and not forgetting the many cathedrals around the country.
On many occasions Janettes career included working with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Band of The Welsh Guards and appearing as guest soprano with Russell Watson in the Passion of the Tenors Concerts.
In 1995 she represented England at the televised Golden Orpheus Awards with Joe Cocker. In 1996 sang lead vocal and featured on the video of the official single for The British Heart Foundation. “Anyone Who Had a Heart” was produced by Mike Stock and Matt Aitkin on Love This Records, which include other international single releases that feature on compilation albums. During this period Janette appeared on numerous TV and radio programmes which gave her the opportunity to work with many great people I.e. Lady Diana, Bob Monkhouse, Adam Faith…..

Playing on ‘Bridge’ electric violin and electric five string, they call themselves Ponticello; The Italian word meaning ‘On the Bridge’.
Sisters, Emily and Penny have played together professionally for 13 years in the Spring Quartet.
They have now branched out to create a new style of entertainment,fusing Classical music with a modern beat.
Ponticello cater for weddings and corporate events on electric or acoustic violins.

Harpist-Maxine Molin RoseWedding Entertainment Idea No. 5
Maxine was born in Manchester and raised in Glossop. She went to her first concert at the age of 3 and decided there and then that she wanted to play the harp. She also started to play the piano at the age of 4 and was given great encouragement by her parents who were both in the Halle Orchestra.
Maxine went on to study at Chethams School of Music where she studied under the renowned harpist Elinor Bennet.
Maxine was 10 when she won her 1st music festival and at the age of 15 performed her 1st concerto (Mozart Flute and Harp). At 16 she debuted in a concert at the former Freetrade Hall in Manchester.
From 1989 Maxine has pursued a busy free-lance career with some of the UK's leading Symphony and Ballet Orchestras including the Halle, National Symphony Orchestra, English National Ballet, City Ballet of London and Moscow City Ballet. She has also pursued a solo career performing Concertos and Recitals. Maxine has entertained Royalty, and worked with a range of celebities as diverse as Tenor Russell Watson and Rap Star Kanye West. She has also played aboard cruise ships, at major sports events and for product launches and TV work.
She appears regularly in leading hotels around the UK as well as playing for special occasions (Weddings, Birthdays etc) and corporate events.
As well as playing solo Maxine can combine the beauty of the harp with the flute as part of her Melandra duo

Chris Lloyd has developed a reputation as a talented and versatile musician. His performance offers a varied repertoire suitable for all tastes, ages and occasions.
Chris has enjoyed success as a past Variety Club “Act of the Year” winner and has appeared on Jonathan Ross’ “Big Talent Show.” Added to this he is currently enjoying a seventh successive season as resident pianist at the JJB Stadium, home to Wigan Athletic FC where he entertains corporate sponsors prior to Premiership matches. He has also been invited to perform at Anfield stadium, home to Liverpool FC where hospitality is provided by the “Simply Heathcotes” organisation.
He is a regular performer at many of the well renowned Golf Clubs throughout the North West region, and due to his versatility often provides a full evening’s entertainment, with both background music for dining and up tempo music for dancing.

Wedding Ceremony
The following explains the places where you need the music during the Ceremony:
- Assembly of guests~ gentle music is played while your family and friends are arriving and being seated (approx 30 min prior to the Ceremony).
- Entrance of the Bride~ the Bride often chooses the music she wishes to accompany her down the aisle. "Bridal Chorus" is the most popular, but it could be any other song of your choice (preferably in walking pace).
- Signing of the register~ 2,3 melodies that are flowing, relaxing and pleasant for guests to listen while you20are signing the register and taking photographs.
- Grand Exit ~ music as the married couple walk back down the aisle at the end of the Ceremony ~ one song that is up beat and celebratory, for example "Wedding March", or any other song of your choice.
Any of our professional artistes will be happy to help you choose the music for your special day. You might have specific pieces of music in mind which are favourites or which have a special significance for you, so please do not hesitate to let us know your suggestions.
